DENNIS’ DOGHOUSE | It’s not a bad place to be; hey, it’s a Kilgore-Carthage gallery!

Kilgore’s Ja’Kalen Sheffield (7) and Jacory Walton (6) celebrate after Sheffield’s first-half interception, one of four by four different Bulldogs to get an interception in the game. EDITOR’S NOTE: ETBlitz.com photographer and Kilgore ISD teacher Dennis Jacobs has been roaming the sidelines for well over 14 years, most of that spending time shooting Kilgore High School football photos for his friend, Mitch Lucas. Well, here’s some of the photos Dennis captured Friday night from the Bulldogs’ 20-15 win over the “other” Bulldogs from Carthage, at Carthage ISD Stadium. It was Kilgore’s first road win over Carthage since 2003, the first win ever over Carthage since that particular stadium opened, and the first regular season home loss for Carthage to ANY team since September 2016. Here’s the gallery. Hope y’all like it.

Kilgore running back Isaiah Watters (5) gets into the end zone. Watters would do that twice in the Ragin’ Red’s win at Carthage on Friday, their first road win at Carthage since 2003.

Kyleigh Lewis during Friday’s first halftime show of the season. Carthage’s Kelwin Edwards (0), who had a nice game Friday against Kilgore, couldn’t haul in this pass against Kilgore’s Jayden Sanders on what would be Carthage’s final offensive play of the night. Kilgore took over, and was able to run the clock out for a 20-15 win. Sanders is a verbal commitment to Michigan.
