The 2024 school year is just a couple of weeks away (duh), and coming with it: high school football, drill team and band halftime shows, Kilgore College football, cheerleader performances and routines, volleyball season, cross country season, fall tennis season, and then later in fall, high school and KC basketball season will begin.

The regular season runs through early November, and the playoffs begin mid-November. Going all the way through the state championship weekend at AT&T Stadium, when the UIL crowns its state champions, would mean playing through the week of Dec. 18-21.
