WHO’S LEFT? | Not just in the ETBlitz area, but in East Texas? Ticket info, broadcast info for everybody

EDITOR’S NOTE: Here at ETBlitz.com, we cover (in alphabetical order) Arp, Gilmer, Gladewater, Henderson, Kilgore, Leverett’s Chapel, Overton, Sabine, Tatum, Troup, West Rusk and White Oak. That’s a mouthful. But only two of those programs – Kilgore and Overton – are still in the University Interscholastic League’s high school football playoffs. We know that a lot of you guys follow all of the East Texas teams when they get deep into the postseason. So what we’ve done here is place playoff information for all of the teams still in the mix that are considered by most to be “East Texas” teams.

KILGORE (10-2) vs. NAVASOTA (7-5), UIL Class 4A-Division I regional semifinals: Friday, 2 p.m. at Corsicana’s Community National Bank & Trust Stadium (Tiger Stadium; 4001 FM 744 Corsicana, TX). To purchase tickets online, go here: https://athletics.cisd.org/home-team-tickets. Listen to the Ragin’ Red Broadcasting crew’s call of the game on KDOK 105.3-FM, or hear it online here:  Kilgore Bulldogs Football. The NFHS Network will stream the game here (2024 UIL Football Playoffs Kilgore High School vs. Navasota High School), but that does require a subscription. If other streaming services are found between this morning and 2 p.m., we’ll place them here. Winner advances to the 4A-DI Region 3 final next week to face either Chapel Hill or Stafford (see below).

OVERTON (10-2) vs. GRAPELAND (9-3), UIL Class 2A-Division II regional semifinals: Friday, 6 p.m., at Bruce Field in Athens (480 Royal St, Athens, TX, 75751). Tickets for the game will be available at the gate, and you can pay with either cash or card. Hear the game on KWRD (98.5-FM) or online streaming at kwrd985.com and on Network1Sports.com. Like Kilgore-Navasota, the NFHS Network will have live video streaming coverage of the game here, 2024 UIL Football Playoffs Overton High School vs. Grapeland High School, but that does require a subscription. The Overton-Grapeland winner faces either Mount Enterprise or Bremond in the 2A-DII Region 3 finals next week.

LONGVIEW (10-2) vs. KLEIN COLLINS (7-5), UIL Class 6A-Division II regional semifinals: Saturday, 2 p.m., at Abe Martin Stadium in Lufkin (309 S. Medford Drive, Lufkin, TX 75901). The Longview-Collins winner will face either DeSoto or Willis next week in the 6A-DII Region 2 finals.

TEXAS HIGH (12-0) vs. PORT NECHES-GROVES (11-1), UIL Class 5A-Division II regional semifinals: Friday, 7 p.m. Turpin Stadium at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA (450 Caspari Street, Natchitoches, LA, 71457).
