WAKE UP! on ETBLITZ | Overton keeps it going; ‘Another One Bites The Dust;” youth sports camps
EDITOR’S NOTE: Wake Up! on ETBlitz is being written super late, and it’s a little shorter than it normally. High school baseball
The BIG news is that Overton High School won two games Friday over Gary, and as a result, the sports school year that has been 2024-25 will continue.
Here’s our story on the two Friday games played in Hallsville: IT’S OVERTON! | Mustangs complete comeback, beat Gary, 3-1, in Game 3; advance to fourth round.
Coach Chris Cook’s Mustangs, now 27-7 this season, will face Beckville this coming week in the Class 2A-DII regional finals, better known to normal people as round four.
That’ll be played at Longview High School beginning Wednesday night at Longview High School.
Tickets are $7 each for adults, $5 each for students.
The first game of the best-of-three series is Wednesday at 5 p.m. Beckville will be the home team. Game two will be 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
If they need a game three, it’ll be Friday at 5 p.m., also at Longview, and a flip will be done prior to the game to determine who’s the home team.
