EDITOR’S NOTE: Gilmer High School Cheer left Thursday for the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Spirit Competition at the Fort Worth Convention Center, joining other programs from East Texas like Arp, Troup, Tatum, White Oak, Gladewater, Sabine, and even Kilgore — Gilmer and Kilgore both compete on Friday in Class 4A, although Gilmer will compete in 4A-Division II, and Kilgore in 4A-Division I. Here’s our story from earlier this week, and it does have a link so that you can watch, if you can’t get free to go to Fort Worth, although a subscription fee does apply: IT’S UIL STATE CHEER COMPETITION! | Cheer teams from the ETB area hit the road to Fort Worth to compete Thursday & Friday! (W/VIDEO!). Below: the girls get in a practice at school before leaving; are pictured at the bus; and are arriving. Good luck, girls, and to all the cheer programs from the ETBlitz.com coverage area!
