IT’S TIME. | High school teams start practice Monday, and our previews begin Monday, too!
Well, it’s time.
We’ve been counting the days for quite a while. Finally – football practice for Texas high school programs begins on Monday, and here at ETBlitz.com, that’s music to our ears.
ETBlitz.com began in October, 2023, and while we enjoyed our first season covering football, basketball, baseball, soccer and all things here in East Texas, we’re planning a LOT of special things in this first full school year of coverage.
Right off, we should tell you that beginning next week, on Monday, we’ll have football previews of each of the schools in our coverage area. You won’t have to search very long: go to ETBLITZ.COM and it’ll be right there on the home page for you to find.
Best of all, NO PAY WALL. Not one. You don’t pay anything to view or read our stories. If you are paying for content, you’re not on our website. It’s just that simple.
Now, let’s define WHO and WHAT we’ll be covering this fall.
- Kilgore High School football and all the activities around it, including the KHS Hi-Steppers, cheerleaders and band, as well as KHS volleyball, fall tennis, cross country and boys and girls basketball.
- Kilgore College football, men’s and women’s basketball, and softball, and we started it all with coverage of Southwest Junior College Football Conference Media Day last week (more on that below).
- Henderson High School football, the Lionnettes, the cheerleaders and HHS band; tennis, cross country, volleyball and boys and girls basketball.
- Sabine High School football, the Sabine band, the Strutters, cheer, cross country, volleyball, fall tennis and boys and girls basketball.
- Gladewater High football, volleyball, the Bears’ band, the Honeybears, cheerleaders, cross country and boys and girls basketball.
- Tatum High football, the Eaglettes, volleyball, band, cross country, THS cheer, and boys and girls basketball.
- White Oak football, cheer, band, volleyball, tennis, cross country, and boys and girls basketball.
- West Rusk football, band, cheer, volleyball, cross country, and boys and girls basketball.
- Arp football, cheer, band, volleyball, cross country and boys and girls basketball.
- Troup football, volleyball, cheer, band, cross country and boys and girls basketball.
- Overton football, cheer, volleyball, band, cross country and boys and girls basketball.
- Leverett’s Chapel football, volleyball, cheer, band, and boys and girls basketball.
So, since those are the schools we cover, we’ll have the schedules up for each of those sports on Monday, so you know when and where everyone plays. Last-minute adjustments, now, are out of our control – we’ll do our best to keep you updated on social media, and on the website.
But Monday morning, each team’s schedules for all of the individual sports they play will be right here on ETBLITZ.COM.
