CYCLONE STAMPEDE PICKS CONTEST, WEEK THREE | Kilgore & Overton still standing; enter the contest, beat the other contestants and win the tailgate prize pack!

As recently as a week ago, Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said he had no plans to fire head coach Mike McCarthy (above). The Cowboys did beat the Washington Commanders last Sunday in a wild one, but Dallas is 4-7 on the season and without starting quarterback Dak Prescott for what’s left of it. EDITOR’S NOTE: The deadline to enter the Cyclone Stampede Pick-Off for this weekend is 11:29 a.m. Thursday morning, because of the Thursday NFL games. If you don’t enter this week, enter next week. The top five records each week advance in the contest.

OK, it’s week three of the Cyclone Stampede, our pick-the-winners contest, and we’ve already had folks qualify in the first two weeks to have a chance at the ETBlitz Tailgate Party Pack.

The Cyclone Stampede continues through the UIL high school football playoffs and then through the college football bowl season, winding up with the national championship game.

The winner gets that ETBlitz.com Tailgate Party Pack, complete with a special package from Clower Meat Market, a charcuterie board made specifically by Kilgore-based Back Porch Creations for this ETBlitz giveaway, an unbelievable amount of Dr. Pepper, and more.

Here’s how it works:

  • Enter this week, or any week, leading up to the start of this year’s college football bowl games. You enter by making your picks each week in our 21-game contest, then sending your picks to us on Facebook Messenger, or by e-mailing your picks to mlucas@etblitz.com
  • We take the top five finishers at the end of the weekend, after “Monday Night Football,” and those five are entered into our College Football Pick-Off.
  • The UIL State Football Championships are at AT&T Stadium the week of Dec. 18-21. At the end of that weekend, there will be 30 finalists entered into the College Football Pick-Off.
  • After the bowl game schedule is set, we’ll give you the picks list for it. You fill out who you think will win all of this year’s college football bowl games. The best record from the 30 finalists after the College Football Playoff National Championship Game will win the prize pack.

Note: these are the same games the ETBlitz.com panel is picking this weekend. Enter and see how you do against us. If you enter one time and qualify, you don’t have to enter again!

We’re required to say here that employees of ETBlitz.com, thefootballbeat.com and WCAT Productions, LLC are not eligible for this contest.

Here are this week’s list of picks. Good luck!
