TATUM’S SIGLER AND BRADLEY! | The Whataburger / ETBlitz.com Players of the Week!

Tatum High School gymnasium. Not a lot of games are lost there by the home teams. And Luke Sigler and Aundrea Bradley, who play for the Eagles and Lady Eagles, respectively, are the current Whataburger / ETBlitz.com Players of the Week, for the week of Jan. 6-11! There’s not much distance between this week’s players of the week honorees.

In fact, they may even have classes together, for all we know.

That’s because both of ‘em come from Tatum High School!

That’s right – for the first time since ETBlitz.com and Whataburger established the award, both the girls and boys winners are from the same high school in the same week.

Tatum’s Luke Sigler and Tatum’s Aundrea Bradley both have won the Whataburger / ETBlitz.com Players of the Week for the week of January 6 through January 11.

Playing basketball in District 16-3A, which is a district that includes teams that are all in the ETBlitz coverage area (Tatum, Sabine, West Rusk, Arp, Troup, White Oak, and Gladewater), both the Eagles and Lady Eagles got sweeps last week, and Bradley and Sigler were impressive.

Sigler scored a combined 47 (47?!) points in the two wins. The first was a 105-34 win over West Rusk on Tuesday – Sigler led the Eagles with 23 points. The second? A 79-50 win at Troup in a game that was a little iffy at first, due to expected icy weather that didn’t necessarily materialize, on Friday. The game wound up being able to be played, and Troup is a good team as well.

Tatum boys basketball was the Goudarzi & Young, LLP / ETBlitz.com Team of the Week earlier this week, and as we said in that story, Troup had only one home loss this season prior to Friday’s game against Tatum. Sigler and his teammates went in and beat the Tigers, and he led the Eagles in scoring with 24 points. Tatum’s boys are 18-2 this year to date.

The Lady Eagles, coached by Patricia Nelson, also won twice last week in district play, also beating West Rusk and Troup. Bradley filled the stat sheet in an 82-28 win at home over West Rusk’s Lady Raiders – she scored 16 points, grabbed seven steals and five rebounds, and also contributed with five assists.

On Friday, Tatum beat Troup in a bit-tighter game, 34-28. In that one, Bradley had eight points, but also had five steals, blocked three shots, and had three rebounds.

The Whataburger / ETB Player of the Week Awards are comfortable with Tatum athletes, apparently; already they’ve been won by a few THS athletes this year, including Kamdyn Scott just last week.

In fact, here’s a list of the award-winners from the 2024-25 school year to date:

You have to be a high school athlete in the ETBlitz.com coverage area to win the Whataburger / ETB Player of the Week, but you don’t have to to get great food at Whataburger.

You can do that 24 hours a day, seven days a week!

In fact, they serve breakfast 12 hours a day (11 p.m. until 11 a.m.), you can see their menu right here, right now: Whataburger | Order Online with Curbside and Delivery, and you can even order ahead of time, right there on the website, or by downloading the app on your phone.

Check out original favorites like the good ol’ No. 1, the original Whataburger, or new ones, like the White Chocolate Peppermint Shake, the Monterey Melt, the WhataWings (with a BUNCH of great sauces), or my personal favorite – the original sausage biscuit. What can I say? I’m a simple man.

Congratulations again to Luke and Aundrea (and to Aundrea again, for being a multi-time winner), and check us out next week to see who will be our Whataburger / ETBlitz.com Players of the Week!
