Keeping it simple this morning: There are three teams left in the ETBlitz.com coverage area playing in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Texas high school football playoffs: Kilgore (in the Class 4A, Division I playoffs), Carthage (in the 4A-DII playoffs) and Arp (in the 3A-DII playoffs). Here are the brackets, courtesy of the UIL, the path, if you will, to the state championships in each of those classifications. Championship games begin on Wednesday, Dec. 17 with the six-man titles and continue through Saturday, Dec. 20 with the largest in Texas, the 6A state championships. Both Kilgore and Carthage are trying to get back to the state championship games this season, after playing in them a year ago.
