WR’S POBUDA SIGNS | Raider will play safety for Briles at ENMU

National Signing Day, in its official capacity, has been a couple of weeks.
But West Rusk High School’s Bryce Pobuda had his own signing ceremony on Wednesday, joined by teammates, faculty, family and friends, and the smile on Bryce’s face told the story.
He had his very own National Signing Day.
Pobuda signed Thursday with Eastern New Mexico University, to continue his education and football career there.
Bryce was a former Sabine High student athlete who had moved to New London. He will play safety for Eastern New Mexico, located in Portales, N.M.
Maybe the most famous athletic alumni from Eastern New Mexico: former Kansas State head football coach Bill Snyder, and the late Steve Kragthorpe, the former Tulsa and Louisville head coach who passed away in 2024 at 59, due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease.
The Greyhounds in football compete in the Lone Star Conference, a part of NCAA Division II.
Oh, by the way: the new head coach for Eastern New Mexico?
That would be former Baylor and Stephenville High School coach Art Briles.
Fans can meet Briles, many of the players and the assistant coaches next Tuesday.
