Five football players from the ETBlitz.com coverage area are nominated for the Whataburger Super Team, an achievement they can earn directly by votes from the fans.

White Oak quarterback Jaxsen Ludlow, Henderson running back Jesstin “Meaty” Starling and Carthage running back K.J. Edwards, and Carthage linebackers Carson Crawford and Da’Quives Beck are all nominated for the team, whose goal is to find the best 300 players in the state of Texas, in conjunction with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.

Last season, one of the winners was none other than Kilgore’s Jayden Sanders, now a defensive back for the University of Michigan.

From the story on Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s website today:

“Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Whataburger are proud to honor the best and brightest stars in Texas high school football with the announcement of the 300-player ballot for the 2025 Whataburger Super Team. Texas high school football fans nominated more than 4,000 players on TexasFootball.com and now must narrow the field from 300 players to the 40 honorees.”

You can also still nominate players, toward the bottom of that story.

Of course, Whataburger has been an advertising partner with ETBlitz.com since the launch of our site in October, 2023, with the backing of DKT Investments / Whataburger of East Texas.

Whataburger recently celebrated its 75th anniversary!
