Football times 200

Self plug here: our first day of practice story is coming later today on the site, and it’s a must-read. It’s just a little bit on every single program in our coverage area, all 15, as they all opened practice on Monday. You really don’t want to miss it.

We’ll have our individual stories on each program starting later this week.

In the meantime, check out all the schedules for those programs right here: 2025 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SCHEDULES | Here they are, in one place: the schedules for all 15 programs in the ETBlitz area.

And one more time, here are the preseason polls, from Dave Campbell’s Texas Football: THE POLLS | Preseason state high school football polls for all classifications, presented by ZIPPY J’S. Those won’t change until after the first weekend of play Aug. 28-30.

Volleyball, too

Our volleyball season preview for all 15 programs also hits later this week, and here’s hoping everybody has HALF as much energy as these folks that coach volleyball programs. When do they sleep?

Sometimes I wonder when we sleep here at ETBlitz, too.

Here are the volleyball schedules all in one place, as well: 2025 HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULES | Schedules for all 15 of the programs in the ETBlitz area, all in one click.

As soon as the Texas Girls Coaches Association releases its state polls for the upcoming season, we’ll have those here on ETBlitz.com, as well.

Rangers Report

Texas beat the New York Yankees, 8-5, on Monday at Globe Life, and the Rangers ran their home record to 35-20 on the season. Nice.

We haven’t had an update in a few days, and it could be better. Texas is 59-55 on the season overall, and they’ve fallen back a bit in the American League West Division. They’re now a solid third again, 4 ½ games behind first-place Houston, and a game and a half behind second-place Seattle.

Texas hosts the Yankees again tonight at 7:05 p.m., with Nathan Eovaldi on the hill for the Rangers and Will Warren for New York. On Wednesday, it’s a 1:35 p.m. first pitch, with Carlos Rodon going for the Yankees against Texas’s young Jack Leiter.

They’re off Thursday, and Friday brings the Philadelphia Phillies to town, another 7:05 p.m. start.
