THE TRADITION CONTINUES | Northeast Texas FCA announces all-stars for football, softball and baseball June games
This summer, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ All-Star Games will return for another run here in East Texas, as the all-stars were announced on Sunday by the Northeast Texas Chapter of the FCA.
The Heart of A Champion Football Game, of course, was first, and this will be the 15th playing. It’ll be Saturday, June 7 at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler, a 6:30 p.m. start that night. There will be reminders here on ETBlitz.com as it gets closer.
Tickets will be $10 each, except kids under 10, which are $5 each.
The all-star camp will be on the Tyler Junior College campus Thursday, June 5, Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, and the all-star baseball game will be that Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Tyler Legacy High. Tickets are $5 each for the baseball all-star game. The softball all-stars will also play that night, also at Tyler Legacy.

Football
For the football all-stars, Edgewood’s Alex Guerra will be the head coach of the Blue All-Stars, and joining Guerra on the Blue coaching staff will be both of his coordinators, offensive coordinator Jason Seal and defensive coordinator Flint Bingham, as well as Jeff Riordan, head coach of Chapel Hill, and Craig McFarlin and A.J. Johnson, also of CHHS; Colton Traylor of Gilmer; and Bruce Silman and Daven Murphee of Mineola.
Coaching the Red All-Stars is Garrison’s Brandon Alvarez, and both of his coordinators – defensive coordinator Ritchie Pinkard and offensive coordinator Dane Stanage – will join him on the staff, as well as Matt Perkins of Bullard, Bill Cowley of Hawkins, Big Sandy’s Brian Pullum, Longview’s J.R. Tatum and Marshall’s Hunter Ashley.
