THE STANDINGS | No one’s in district play yet, but here’s how the area’s high school football records look

EDITOR’S NOTE: Although each of the 12 high schools in the ETBlitz.com coverage area — in alphabetical order, Arp, Gilmer, Gladewater, Henderson, Kilgore, Leverett’s Chapel, Overton, Sabine, Tatum, Troup, West Rusk and White Oak — are still playing non-district games, their district schedules are right around the corner. And most everyone likes to know how the opposition is doing.

Since we believe that’s the case, our own Joe Hale compiled these district standings, which include all of our ETBlitz-area schools and their district opponents, and their records to date through the two weeks of games played so far. These standings are updated through Thursday morning, Sept. 12. Gladewater and West Rusk meet tonight at Bruce Bradshaw Stadium on the West Rusk campus in New London; that game is not counted in these standings.
