THANK YOU, EAST TEXAS! | A mission statement as we look to the remainder of 2024
As we come to the end of the first school year after going live here at ETBlitz.com, we want to say thank you to each of our readers, viewers, our advertising partners and supporters.
We went live in October 2023, just over six months ago, with a plan to provide sports media coverage to our ETBlitz schools (in alphabetical order): Arp, Gladewater, Henderson, Kilgore, Leverett’s Chapel, Overton, Sabine, Tatum, Troup, West Rusk, and White Oak High Schools, and Kilgore College.
Since then we have had over 45 THOUSAND visits to our site! And we could not be more excited about that! And you can see ETBLITZ on various platforms in addition to our site, on Facebook, on X / Twitter, and now, on Instagram.
But, here’s the thing; we want to do something no other media outlet is able to do. We want to cover every sport, but not just sports at each of these schools; we want to cover every band, drill and dance team, orchestra, choir, cheer squad, ALL the things that our students do, because there is so much more than just sports for them to be involved in. And we want to celebrate all of their accomplishments!
As we approach the end of this school year and have reflected over the past six months or so, we realized that we have accomplished a lot, but also that we have so much more we want to do for students here in small towns in East Texas. For this reason, we have developed a mission statement, a statement saying what exactly we see our purpose as. We would like to share that statement with you.
“At ETBlitz.com, we are committed to showcasing the heart and soul of our East Texas communities through comprehensive coverage of local high school sports and extracurricular activities. We believe in celebrating the dedication, talent, and achievements of student athletes, musicians, dancers, and performers. Our mission is to provide engaging and inclusive media coverage that not only highlights athletic prowess but also recognizes the diverse talents and passions that enrich our schools and unite our community.”
We have some exciting announcements as August nears, and as begin to prepare for our first whole school year here at ETBlitz.com.
Thank you ETBlitz for your coverage of high school soccer!!
Rick, thank you for everything you did to help us do so, and your friendship.
