TATUM’S SCOTT SUPER ELITE! | Kamdyn Scott named to THSCA’s 3A volleyball Super Elite team

Saturday on ETBlitz.com, we told you about the Texas High School Coaches Association’s selections for this year’s football Super Elite Team, from throughout the state, across all of the different University Interscholastic League’s classifications.
We’re back today with volleyball, but this time, only one player in the entire ETBlitz.com coverage area made the list.
If you think really hard, you might can get it.
It’s Tatum High School standout Kamdyn Scott, who was chosen as one of 12 players to make up the 2024 Dick’s Sporting Goods / Texas High School Coaches Association’s Class 3A Super-Elite Team.
Now, full disclosure, we’re late on this: it was already announced. But this is a huge honor for Kamdyn, and we wanted to make sure she was recognized locally. If we miss it, then we own it. We’re owning it here. But we’re proud of Kamdyn for making the Super Elite team.
It’s certainly no surprise to our staff: Kamdyn is one of the most decorated athletes in our area. Since ETBlitz.com launched in October, 2023, we’ve collaborated with Whataburger – who else?! – to announce our Whataburger / ETBlitz.com Players of the Week each week, a boy and a girl athlete from our coverage area.
Dating back to the beginning of that award, Kamdyn is a five-time winner in both volleyball and basketball, just an incredible achievement.
And earning THSCA Super Elite Team status is phenomenal.
On the season, Scott helped Tatum get to the regional tournament, finish with a 40-6 record, win another district championship, and win every single home game that the Lady Eagles played.
Scott finished the 2-24 season, her junior year, with 612 kills, 367 digs, 28 assists, 74 aces, 74 blocks.
She was also named the most valuable player of District 16-3A, by the way.
Joining Kamdyn on the 3A Super Elite team this year, in alphabetical order, are Central Heights’ Caroline Ashley; Mia Duong of London High; Chloe Johnson of Gunter; Gracie Lawson of Grandview; Taylor Morrow of Columbus; Amelia Robinson of Llano; Kennedy Simon of Ponder; and Addison Yendrey of Goliad.
Bushland’s Mackenzie Sims was named overall most valuable player on the team; Stockdale’s Leann Wise was named the offensive player of the year; and Industrial High’s Autumn Kallus was named defensive player of the year.
Here are the remainder of the Dick’s Sporting Goods / THSCA Volleyball Super Elite Teams, for the other UIL classifications: 24-25-SET-Volleyball.

Congratulations, again, Kamdyn, on this outstanding honor!
