Overton quarterback Bryce Still (above) and Tatum volleyball standout Kaysen Foster (below) were each paid a visit by Jack Moore of DKT Investments / Whataburger on Thursday, receiving their prize packs for being named the WHATABURGER / ETBLITZ Players of the Week for the week of Sept. 2-6. Their performances can be read here (OVERTON’S STILL, TATUM’S FOSTER | They’re the Whataburger / ETBlitz Players of the Week!), and both will be in action the remainder of the season: Still for the Overton Mustangs football team, whose season is just getting started — the Mustangs, coached by Scotty Laymance, are at James Bowie this Friday, in fact. And Foster and the Tatum Eagles, pictured there with her, are coached by the great Leven Barker, and are ranked No. 8 in the state in the Texas Girls Coaches Association poll! They’re at Gladewater, varsity-only, on Friday at 4:30 p.m., and at West Rusk on Tuesday, beginning with junior varsity at 4:30. Congratulations, Kaysen and Bryce!
