KC WOMEN SLIP TO McLENNAN | Rangers return to action Saturday at home vs. Victoria College
Kilgore College’s Lady Rangers had a successful first Evelyn Blalock Women’s Basketball Tournament this week.
They did slip on Tuesday, losing to McLennan, 63-58, and that was their final non-conference game of the season.
KC will have about a week off, and then they’ll head to Lufkin next Wednesday, Jan. 10, for the Region XIV Conference opener at Angelina College.
KC is 7-7 on the season to date.

The Lady Rangers got 16 points, 13 rebounds an assist and a steal from Nakiyah Allen, and 13 points from Jarahle Daniels in the loss to McLennan.
Also for KC in the game, Jazmyn Sostand had nine points, two rebounds and a blocked shot; Nyla Inmon had eight points, 13 rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks.
BryKayla Hampton had seven points, two steals, a rebound and a blocked shot; Jordan Wright had four points and a steal; and Tylissa Henderson had a point, two rebounds, and a steal.
KC shot 19-of-54 from the floor and was scorching from the free throw line (18-of-20).
Aysia Ward had 15 points to lead McLennan, who had four players to score in double figures.
KC’s Rangers are back from the holiday break on Saturday, hosting Victoria College Saturday at 4 p.m. at Masters Gymnasium.
