When doing our story on Kilgore College’s upcoming football schedule, we spotted this item on KC softball – and it’s a big one.

Coach Amber Williams and the softball program are hosting a one-day prospect combine – seeking players – on Thursday, July 24, at their field, at The Ballpark at KC Commons, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.

The address for the park is 701 North Houston Street in Kilgore, formerly the site of the Kilgore Heights kindergarten building. That’s been quite a while back; KC has a very nice softball complex there now.

Registration for the combine is $100, and participants should have standard softball equipment to help them out, a bat, a helmet, their glove, cleats, tennis shoes, turf shoes, a water bottle, and are asked to wear clothing appropriate for play.
