Leverett’s Chapel’s Trent Wheat – the rather large guy on the right – is the Whataburger / ETBlitz.com boys Player of the Week for Sept. 16-21. We announced this earlier in the week, and Jack Moore of Whataburger / DKT Investments (center) paid Trent and LC coach Keith Hughes (left) a visit to congratulate them on the honor. Trent had 411 yards (!) and nine touchdowns (!!!) on 25 carries in LC’s 80-51 win over East Texas HomeSchool Sports in UIL six-man football last Thursday night. Kamdyn was named our Whataburger / ETBlitz.com girls Player of the Week for Sept. 16-21, her second time being a player of the week honoree this season. “All” Kamdyn did this time out was total 50 kills, 27 digs, seven aces and seven blocks in two district games against state-ranked West Rusk and tough district rival White Oak, both wins for Tatum, now ranked third in the state in Class 3A!
