FIERROS SIGNS WITH SWAU | Sabine soccer standout has special day

Sabine High School senior student athlete Analiyah Fierros (center, seated) signed a letter of intent on Wednesday with Southwest Adventist University in Keene. Fierros will continue her education and athletic career as a member of the SWAU women’s soccer team.
Fierros was able to sign with the university when her brother, Ivan, enlisted in the Navy, was able to be home.
Fierros was joined by her family, faculty members, teammates and several Sabine students for the signing ceremony Wednesday afternoon.
Southwest Adventist’s Knights compete as a part of the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA). The Lady Knights’ soccer team went 12-5-1 in the fall season. Sabine’s Lady Cardinals are 6-7 in District 15-4A in Jason Bragg’s first season as head coach. Fierros has 22 goals this season, and the regular season finale is slated for Friday night. Good luck, Analiyah, and congratulations!
