ETBLITZ.COM WELCOMES AUSTIN BANK | Proud to announce our partnership with this great institution
Austin Bank, one of the state’s oldest, most dependable and most proud financial institutions, is now a part of the ETBlitz.com advertising family.
“We are so proud to announce our partnership with Austin Bank,” said ETBlitz.com Editor / Publisher Mitch Lucas. “Austin Bank has long been not just a supporter of high school, junior college and youth sports in our area, but a proponent of them, and anytime ETBlitz can enter into a relationship with people like that, you embrace that. You never pass that up.”
Austin Bank, which was founded in 1900 and has branches in both Kilgore and Gladewater, is guided on six basic principles that never age: appreciation, unity, service, trustworthiness, integrity, and nurturing, treating their customers the way they would want to be treated.
“The Austin family has been involved in Texas banking and the communities we support for four generations,” Austin Bank said, in a statement. “Helping people is at the heart of what we do, and we’re honored to do it. As a family-owned bank, we are committed to being there for our friends and neighbors through happy times and tough times. It’s how we’ve always served and always will.
“Austin Bank’s philosophy of hard work, humility, and down-to-earth service stems from family. So does our commitment to the neighbors and communities we serve. As a true local leader and servant, we invest our time and money in local organizations, provide outreach to those in need, help fund businesses, and advocate for our neighbors. At more than 120 years strong, when we say we’re with you for good, we mean it.”
The roots of Austin Bank in East Texas were established in 1909, when John F. Austin, Sr. established the First State Bank of Frankston. His sons, John F. Austin Jr. and Jeff Austin Sr., followed in their father’s footsteps and a foundation was formed like few others in the country, let alone the state.
Austin Bank, over 40 years in the mid-20th Century, acquired banks across East Texas in places like Longview, Jacksonville, Whitehouse, Rusk, Big Sandy and Timpson, then Troup and Grand Saline, re-christening all of them with the Austin Bank brand. Other former Bank of America locations were purchased in the late 1990s and became branches of Austin Bank.
Today, Austin Bank is located throughout the East Texas and Southeast Texas regions in Kilgore, Gladewater, Longview and Tyler, as well as Big Sandy, Bullard, Cleveland, Emory, Frankston, Garrison, Gilmer, Grand Saline, Jacksonville, Lufkin, Marshall, Montgomery, Nacogdoches, Noonday, Palestine, Rusk, Timpson, Troup, Van, Whitehouse, and even The Woodlands.
Austin Bank joins what we at ETBlitz.com believe is just a phenomenal list of advertising partners: Whataburger (owned locally by DKT Investments), literally the world’s greatest place to eat burgers, and more; Energy Weldfab, an East Texas manufacturer of oil and gas processing equipment that is second to none in the entire nation; and ETX Electrical, an up-and-coming electrical services company based in the Kilgore area.
ETBlitz.com, to be clear, is a sports media site, the centerpiece of WCAT Productions, LLC, based in Kilgore. Our mission: to provide the best possible sports coverage – and coverage of the atmosphere around sporting events – for Kilgore High School, Henderson High School, Sabine High, Gladewater High, Tatum High, West Rusk, Arp, Troup, White Oak, Overton, and Leverett’s Chapel, and of course Kilgore College.
Our mission statement, if you will: we are committed to showcasing the heart and soul of our East Texas communities through comprehensive coverage of local high school sports and extracurricular activities. We believe in celebrating the dedication, talent, and achievements of student athletes, musicians, dancers, and performers. We will provide engaging and inclusive media coverage that not only highlights athletic prowess but also recognizes the diverse talents and passions that enrich our schools and unite our community.
ETBlitz wants to do something no other media outlet in East Texas does. We want to cover every sport, but not just sports at each of these schools; we want to cover every band, drill and dance team, orchestra, choir, cheer squad, all the things that our students do, because there is so much more than just sports for them to be involved in. And we want to celebrate all of their accomplishments.
We believe we have an affordable, suitable advertising package for everyone. To simply find out more, drop Havon Russell an e-mail at ads@etblitz.com.
