Presenting the ETBLITZ.COM Forums, featuring the opportunity for you guys to talk about — well, just about anything you want!

It’s a big day here on ETBlitz.com, a big day for us, and a big day for you, the sports fan.

In fact, ETBlitz.com will never be the same – in a good way.

From the time ETBlitz.com went live on Oct. 21, 2023, we’ve been quietly working on a forums section to let you, the sports fan, talk about – well, whatever you WANT to talk about, within reason, here on the site.

And Benjamin Dunn, our website specialist, has delivered.

We’re proud to say that the ETBlitz.com Forums are now live!

We’ve divided them into seven different boards for you guys, but they provide all sorts of avenues for you to talk about. And here they are:

  • High School Football, and we all know where that can go. Discuss the 2023 season, heck, any past season, the new UIL realignment, the schedule of your favorite team – heck, it’s all fair game.
  • High School Basketball. The playoffs have just started statewide for the boys and they’re in the second round for the girls. Or maybe you want to debate who had the strongest program in East Texas in 1995, or something. Do it here.
  • High School Baseball / Softball. Softball season began last week and most everyone in the East Texas region will be in tournament play later this week. Most baseball teams played their season openers on Monday, and it’s an exciting time. If you wanna talk about it, do it in this forum, all you want. It’s open, 24 / 7.
  • Other High School Sports. Now, here’s where we had to combine some things. There are so many other sports, we decided to put everything else in one forum. Maybe soccer is your game – and there’s a TON of folks who fall into that category, and the regular season is winding down, so bring it on. Or maybe you’re a member of a drill team, or your daughter is. Or a cheerleader. How about golf, tennis, volleyball, track or cross country. How about swimming, or even band? We’re talking them all here in this forum.
  • Junior College Sports. Kilgore College is in our coverage area, and has football, men’s and women’s basketball and softball, but Tyler Junior College, Trinity Valley and Navarro are all local, as well – if it’s junior college and it’s a sport, talk about it in this forum, including on-the-field competition, recruiting, polls, coaching changes, have at it.
  • Off Topic. This is for people who want to talk about The Rock coming back to WWE. Or if you just can’t stand it that your favorite movie got left off the Oscar nomination list. Or maybe iPhone 27 is about to be released and you’re excited. You get it: if there’s anything you want to talk about and it doesn’t fit our other forums, this is your place.
  • East Texas Happenings. Now, we’re not looking for garage sales or yard sales here, but if it’s coming up in East Texas – a fundraiser for someone who’s deserving, a concert, a bond election of note – let everyone know here. Keep politics to the Off-Topic area, please, but happenings, here’s your forum.

To get to the ETBlitz.com Forums, go to the home page, then on the red welcome bar, where the options are, there’s a list: “Who We Are,” and “Home” are the first two. Beside “Home” is “Forums,” with a pull-down arrow. You can pull down to any of the forums you’d like to visit.

Our editor / publisher, Mitch Lucas, has placed a “Welcome” topic on each of the forums: “Welcome to the ETBlitz.com High School Football Forum,” “Welcome to the ETBlitz.com High School Baseball Forum,” and so on, for all seven boards.

To write on any of the boards, you’ll need to register and create a username. It’ll also ask for your e-mail and a password. Don’t be afraid, LOL. After you’ve selected a username and entered your e-mail, go to your inbox and find the e-mail from WordPress@etblitz.com.

There will be a link inside. It’ll ask you to click on it to set your password. Click on the link. It’ll take you to a screen where you type in a new password. It’ll suggest a password for you, or allow you to create your own. You can choose to do either, and then retype it.

After that, it’ll take you back to ETBlitz.com, and if you’re successful, you’re allowed to post under your username.

For example, Mitch went through the process, and registered as ThunderDude. Then he posted on the High School Football forum, replying to a post, and said, “Hi. Good post, dude.”

We cannot express how thrilled we are to have the ability to interact with you guys in our forums! This is going to be a lot of fun!

It will be moderated, and we ask that you guys refrain from using profanity, and don’t troll (or aggravate, for you guys who haven’t used forums before) each other.

The ETBlitz.com Forums are officially open! And they’re open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Special thanks to our lead sponsors, Whataburger and Energy Weldfab!

Have fun!
