DAY ONE TRACK RESULTS | District track continues today, but here are some Wed. results

Braydon Nelson, who was second in the discus at the Texas Relays last weekend, is putting that arm to good use for the Kilgore High School Bulldogs in their district meet.

Kilgore, competing in the District 17-4A meet at Spring Hill High School in Longview, got a first-place finish from Nelson on Wednesday in the shot put, a best of 55 feet, 11 ½ inches.

His teammate, Cameron Christian, finished fourth (48 feet, 2 inches).

Nelson, the current Whataburger / ETBlitz.com Boys Player of the Week for what he accomplished at the University of Texas in Austin (NELSON, LOFTIS & STEVENS | It’s not a law firm; they’re the Whataburger / ETBlitz Players of the Week!), will compete again Thursday, as will the rest of the district teams, at Spring Hill as the track meet concludes.

In other results from Wednesday:
