COWBOYS’ OVERSHOWN GOES TO PUP LIST | Arp native, former UT standout rehabbing knee injury

Looks like the Dallas Cowboys won’t have Agent Zero in the lineup in the immediate.
And Trevon Diggs appears to be an early-season no-go, as well.
The Cowboys placed both Overshown, a linebacker originally from Arp, and Diggs, a cornerback, both on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Tuesday.
Also out for the immediate future on the PUP list is corner Josh Butler, and rookie corner Shavon Revel, who was put on the Non-Football Injury list.
Overshown played most of the 2024 season before being injured in December; Diggs was injured in January, and both were considered long shots to get back in time for the first portion of the Cowboys’ 2025 season. Dallas opens the season on Sept. 4 at Philadelphia.
Overshown, also a former University of Texas star, tore three ligaments (the anterior cruciate ligament, the medial collateral ligament and the posterior cruciate ligament) in a Week 14 loss to Cincinnati.
He recently switched from No. 13 to No. 0 (to live up to that “Agent Zero” nickname). Overshown, 24, had 90 tackles (56 solo), eight tackles for loss, five sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception for a touchdown in 13 games. He was drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Dallas Cowboys reported to Oxnard, California for training camp on Sunday, and the first practices are Tuesday.
