EDITOR’S NOTE: Athletes from seven ETBlitz.com-area high school track & field programs competed Thursday at West Rusk High School in New London for the right to go to next weekend’s regional meet in Whitehouse, and our own Ronnie Sartors was on hand to get these photos. They’re unbelievable, to no surprise. We love them, and we think you will, too. Check them out!

Sabine’s Kooper Bogenschutz (above) had a best of 9 feet, 6 inches to win the pole vault Thursday at the area meet at West Rusk.

Tatum’s Cayden Tatum won the high jump at the area meet with a best of 6 feet, 4 inches.

Sam Black (above) is no stranger to Sabine track fans. Black (again) won both the shot put and the discus at the area meet, in his efforts to return to the state track meet. Here, he’s pictured in the shot put at Thursday’s area meet in West Rusk, which he won with a best throw of 54 feet, 4 1/2 inches.

Elysian Fields’ Cara Sims (above) rocked it at the area meet at West Rusk on Thursday. Sims won the 800 meter run (2:24.30), the mile run (5:21.91), and the two-mile run (11:32.84).
