ANYBODY WANNA SEE SOME SOCCER PICS? | Dennis Jacobs’ gallery from Kilgore-Tatum, boys & girls
Kilgore hosted Tatum on Friday morning in a District 15-4A finale for both teams, plagued a bit by lightning (the boys junior varsity game was canceled altogether and the girls varsity game was shortened by four minutes at the end). But Kilgore won both: 9-0 for the boys, 10-0 in the girls game. The Bulldogs, coached by Hector Peralez, incredibly won their district’s championship for a 16th consecutive season, unreal, finishing with a 13-1 record in district play, 20-1-2 overall. The Bulldogs will have one more regular season game: it’s non-district, and it’s at Nacogdoches, varsity only, on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Coach Todd BonDurant’s Lady Bulldogs (18-4-1 overall, 14-2 in district play) wrapped their district slate and their regular season with Friday’s win: they’ll await the first round of the playoffs. We’ll have all soccer playoff information for all the teams in the ETBlitz.com coverage area next week, as soon as it’s made public. For now, ETBlitz.com photographer Dennis Jacobs spent the day at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium, getting shots at both the boys and the girls game. Here they are. Y’all enjoy.
