ALEX’S ART, REGIONAL SOCCER STYLE! | Kilgore takes Region II crown, in pictures
ETBlitz.com photographer Alex Nabor is at it again, and we’re all benefitting from it. Alex was on assignment on Saturday for Kilgore-Panther Creek, the UIL Class 4A Region II Soccer Championship, at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium. And Kilgore won the title – and a shot at the BIG title, punching its ticket for the UIL State Soccer Tournament next week at Georgetown’s Birkelbach Stadium. Kilgore will face Boerne at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the first 4A boys semifinal; Navasota will play San Elizario in the second semifinal that night at 6:30. Here’s a look at Kilgore-Panther Creek, through Alex’s lens. Y’all enjoy.
From left: Kilgore’s Adan Reyes (with arms out) is hugged by Jordi Velasquez, as teammates Diego Rojas (9) and Leo Yzaguirre (6) run onto the scene. Reyes had just scored the second goal of the game against Panther Creek Saturday at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium, in the UIL Class 4A Region II title game. Yzaguirre scored earlier in the game, and the Bulldogs shut out PC, 2-0. Kilgore is 25-2-2 on the season, and the senior class won its 100th game as a class with the victory.
The calm before the storm: Kilgore coaches Hector Peralez (left) and Mason McCormack walk the sideline at Rose Stadium before the Bulldogs’ game against Panther Creek Saturday, an eventual 2-0 Kilgore win.
Kilgore’s Jonathan Perez (5) splits the Panthers’ players pursuing the ball.

Congratulations Coach Hector Peralez, Leo Yzaguirre and Adan Reyes as well as the entire Kilgore Boys’ Soccer team in your Regional Tournament victories in Tyler. I want to continue to wish you the best in the State Soccer Tournament coming up this week in Georgetown. Bring home that championship!!!!
