HENDERSON at KILGORE, IN PHOTOS | A gallery by Dennis Jacobs & Alex Nabor

EDITOR’S NOTE: Photos from the Highway 259 Showdown, the Henderson at Kilgore game Friday night at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium. Henderson came away with a 27-24 win, but almost didn’t: the Lions led, 21-0, and Kilgore battled all the way back to tie the contest at 24, with Henderson’s Ivan Navarro booting a 20-yard field goal at the end. Kilgore moves on to a huge game at Chapel Hill this coming Friday; Henderson will host Mabank. Here’s the recap of the game by our own Joe Hale: LIONS PULL THE UPSET | Henderson escapes Kilgore with 27-24 win (etblitz.com), and photos by Dennis Jacobs and Alex Nabor; just look under each photo for the photo credit, to see which of the guys shot each photo.
