WHAT’S HAPPENING | Catching up with ETB-area soccer and basketball teams after this ice thing
EDITOR’S NOTE: Due to the icy conditions, Cozy Coffee Station (and a lot of other businesses) had to say “nope” to opening up this morning. But with the temperatures likely getting enough above freezing to melt some of this off, most likely you guys can count on Oscar and Ashley having Cozy Coffee Station up and running on Wednesday, at 110 Midtown Plaza in Kilgore and at 755 Highway 271 North in Gilmer. With the amount of ice in the East Texas region (and pretty much the entire southern United States) the last few days, ETBlitz.com is doing our best to put together a list of when sports events will again take place.

SOCCER UPDATES
Kilgore, Sabine: The Kilgore High School Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will host the Sabine High School Cardinals and Lady Cards tonight at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium in Kilgore. Girls varsity will play at 5 p.m., and the boys will follow at 7. NOTE: Kilgore’s Bulldogs, by the way, are ranked No. 1 in their region. Another ETBlitz.com-area program, Pine Tree, is ranked no. 6.
Henderson: Both Henderson soccer teams are hosting Center tonight, girls at 5 p.m. and boys at 6:45.
Pine Tree, Tatum: Tatum will host the Pine Tree soccer teams tonight, a 5 p.m. girls varsity start and boys to follow, likely around 7.
Gladewater: The Gladewater Bears boys soccer team will host New Diana tonight at 6 p.m., and the Lady Bears will play at New Diana at 7:30 p.m.
BASKETBALL UPDATES
Kilgore boys and girls basketball: The Bulldogs and Lady ‘Dogs are scheduled to play at Spring Hill in Longview tonight — boys freshmen at 4:30, followed by junior varsity at 5:45 and varsity around 7:30. The girls varsity game will be at 5 p.m., and varsity will follow at 6:15.
Henderson: Both Henderson teams are home tonight against Cumberland Academy (of Tyler), a 5:30 p.m. varsity girls game start, and the Lions’ varsity to tip off at 7:30.
Gilmer, Carthage basketball: Both Carthage basketball teams were to play tonight at Gilmer. Those games have been moved to tomorrow (Wednesday). Junior varsity games begin in both gyms at 4:30 p.m.
Sabine, Tatum basketball: The Cardinals will host Tatum for both boys and girls tonight, beginning at 5 p.m. with JV games.
Gladewater, West Rusk basketball: Girls and boys basketball between these two programs will be played tonight in Gladewater. JV games begin at 4:30, with girls varsity likely to start around 6:15, and varsity boys to wrap things up around a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
White Oak, Tatum basketball: White Oak will play at Tatum, boys and girls, on Thursday night. The JV girls will tip off at 5; JV boys will play at 6:15, and both of those games will be in the old gymnasium. The girls game will be in the main coliseum at 6:15; the boys will follow at 7:30.
Overton boys, girls basketball: Overton will host Carlisle on Thursday for boys and girls basketball; seventh grade games will begin at 4:45 p.m.
