WAKE UP! IT’S A STATE CHEER PHOTO GALLERY! | Check out these shots from Fort Worth / By JACOB LUCAS

EDITOR’S NOTE: Here are some fantastic shots from this week’s University Interscholastic League State Spirit / Cheer Championships, which were held, as always, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Tatum High School Cheer finished third overall in the state in 3A, Division I, and Kilgore made the finals in 4A, Division I. Enjoy these shots, courtesy of our own Jacob Lucas. And stop by and pick up your favorite beverage or snack from Cozy Coffee Station! They’re located in Kilgore at 110 Midtown Plaza, and in Gilmer at 755 Highway 271 North, as a part of Credit Union of Texas in both locations. See their menu here (Home | Cozy Coffee Station), and remember, it’s never too cold for a key lime pie milkshake!

Tatum High School Cheer rocked it on Thursday, placing high enough to make the finals and finish third overall!

The above and below photos are the Carthage High cheerleaders, who have had a lot to cheer about for, oh, about 15 years or so.

Gilmer Cheer (above and immediately below) had another great showing at the UIL state championships on Friday.

Henderson Cheer (above, and then three photos below) didn’t attend last year’s state championships, but they made up for it with a solid showing this year.

Gladewater Cheer competed in 3A-DI on Thursday (above and below).
