WAKE UP! featuring ETBLITZ POWER PICKS! | Carthage, Kilgore, Gilmer, PT all in action tonight, more tomorrow night; KC-TJC Saturday

EDITOR’S NOTE: Kilgore and Gilmer are the two East Texas locations for the Cozy Coffee Station, which will make you happy in a number of ways — as many ways as they have menu items! Go see them in Gilmer at 755 Highway 271 North, or in Kilgore at 110 Midtown Plaza, both in the Credit Union of Texas. And if you think you might want to look at their menu before you go, well, here, I’ll hook you up: Home | Cozy Coffee Station.
Our ETBlitz Power Picks, where our panel does our best to pick the outcomes of 21 high school, college and NFL games, normally runs Friday morning. But because of the number of high school games that have moved to tonight instead of Friday (and there’s still quite a few games Friday), we decided to move the picks to this morning, as well.
The panel (and here they are) has picked 169 games.

In those 169 games, here’s how they’ve done.
Last week, Jacob Lucas and Billy Chrisman each went a scorching 19-2, and I’ll tell you why that’s important in just a bit. Jenna Lucas went 18-3. A host of us — Ashtyn, Joe Hale, Dennis, and myself — finished 17-4.
Dereck Borders and Clayton each went 16-5. Jeremy went 14-7, and Alex finished 13-8.
So on the year, here’s where that leaves us.
Jacob, who has never, not once, in all the years he’s picked actually won this thing (he’s 25 and he’s been picking for probably 12 years), is LEADING the field with a 126-42-1 record. Billy is just one game back at 125-43-1.
Joe Hale, last year’s Power Picks champ, is holding steady at 123-45-1, and Dennis, Ashtyn and I are right there. Dennis and I are each 122-46-1, and Ashtyn is 121-47-1 (blame Dallas and Green Bay for that freakin’ tie). Dennis is a champion many times over from when we worked together at the other place.
Dereck checks in next, with a 118-50-1 record, and then Jenna and Alex, who are each 114-54-1.
Clayton, who has done much better this year because he’s not picking huge upsets every single week (!), is 112-56-1, and Jeremy is in the back, 108-60-1, but also has done better in recent weeks.
Here’s our list of this week’s games, followed by the picks grid. If you’re reading on a phone, you may need to turn your phone horizontal in order to see the grid properly.
