KEY FACTOR | Kilgore’s LaKeyleon Graves named to DCTF 7-on-7 all-tourney team
Kilgore’s LaKeyleon Graves was named to the Texas 7-on-7 State Tournament’s All-Tournament Team.
Oh, and this just in: water is wet, the sky is blue, and grass is green.
You get the idea.
Graves, who will be a senior for coach Clint Fuller’s Bulldogs this fall, is a flat-out star on both sides of the football and had a big spotlight last weekend in College Station.
The Bulldogs reached the state title game in Division II and dropped a close one in overtime to Frisco Panther Creek. Graves, whom ETBlitz affectionately dubbed “Gravedigger” during the tournament because of all his spectacular catches from Kayson Brooks, was just one of MANY playmakers for the Bulldogs. And we hope he’ll shine this fall.
In fact, we know he will. And we know he won’t be alone. Here’s what Dave Campbell’s Texas Football writer Carter states said about Graves in the story about the all-tournament team:
Graves and Frisco Panther Creek’s Jalen Lott were the two most impressive players in Division II, providing an instant classic state championship matchup. Graves had a pick-six to give Kilgore a 13-0 lead, then broke out of Panther Creek’s bracket coverage to score a touchdown and two-point conversion as time expired to force overtime.”
Graves was outstanding in all of Kilgore’s contests, and deserved the all-tournament honor. We would argue more Bulldogs should have been included. But it wasn’t our team.

We are most definitely happy of Key!!! He’s made us all proud! We’ve watched him play and grow into the game player he is.
We LOVE US SOME LAKEYLEON GRAVES 😘
