BIG DAY | We unveil the 2025 Goudarzi & Young / ETBlitz.com Volleyball All-Star Team!

Tatum volleyball once again reached the regional tournament, and the effects of another fantastic Lady Eagles season is evident with just a quick look at the 2025 Goudarzi & Young / ETBlitz.com Volleyball All-Star Team.

Senior Kamdyn Scott is the team’s overall most valuable player; Leven Barker is the coach of the year; and both Kaysen Foster and Taydem Barker, two more of the Lady Eagles’ cornerstone players, are a part of the all-star team’s first team.

The volleyball all-star team is selected strictly by ETBlitz.com and is made up of players from the 15 high school volleyball programs in the area we cover: Arp, Beckville, Carthage, Gilmer, Gladewater, Henderson, Kilgore, Leverett’s Chapel, Overton, Pine Tree, Sabine, Tatum, Troup, West Rusk and White Oak.

Scott once again had just a phenomenal season for the Lady Eagles. She finished with 611 kills, 279 digs, 43 blocks and 47 aces in 41 games. Following the season, Scott signed to continue her education and volleyball career at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. She is a multiple-time winner of the Whataburger / ETBlitz.com girls Player of the Week Award, both in volleyball and basketball.

As for Barker, the man with over 800 career wins guided Tatum’s Lady Eagles to a 37-4 overall record, a 12-0 record in District 16-3A and another district championship, and a 15-1 record at home.

Tatum senior Kamdyn Scott is the most valuable player on our very own 2025 Goudarzi & Young / ETBlitz.com Volleyball All-Star Team. And Tatum coach Leven Barker, who guided the Lady Eagles to a district title for a ninth straight season (below), is the volleyball coach of the year. Congratulations to both Kamdyn and coach Barker, and all the girls who made the team! The Goudarzi & Young / ETB Volleyball All-Star First team: Kaysen Foster and Taydem Barker of Tatum, as mentioned; Kellen Weaver of Beckville; Carly Chadwick of Pine Tree High School; Caroline Cockerham of Carthage; Andee Bridges of White Oak; and Kilgore’s Giselle Weaver and Elle Litchenburg.

The two members of Tatum’s Lady Eagles that made the first team, Barker and Foster, also played huge roles in their season. Barker, the daughter of Leven and Devin Barker, finished with 63 kills, 207 digs, 45 aces and of course, all of those assists, all 1,014 of them, a performance that earned her the 16-3A setter of the year as a part of the all-district voting.

And Foster gave her teammate, Scott, a good run for this team’s overall MVP, as did Beckville’s Kellen Weaver. Foster finished the 2025 season as the co-MVP of the all-district team (with Scott), and had 454 kills, 37 blocks, 352 digs and 44 aces.

We just mentioned Weaver, and for good reason: the best player on a  Bearcats’ team that went 35-8, won the District 20-2A championship with just one district loss, and reached the fourth round of the 2A playoffs.

Weaver led the way (and was named the MVP of her all-district team) with 375 kills, 132 digs, 56 blocks, and 62 aces.

Pine Tree’s Chadwick helped the Lady Pirates to a 27-15 overall record, and a second-place finish in District 16-4A. Chadwick finished with 140 kills, 301 digs, 793 assists, 104 aces and 18 blocks. She was named co-MVP of the district, along with Spring Hill’s Savannah Irwin.

Carthage coach Mandy Lancaster got solid play all season from a lot of her roster, especially Caroline Cockerham. Cockerham had a great season as the Lady ‘Dawgs’ setter: 718 assists, 187 digs and 71 aces to get Carthage 21 wins in 2025, and back into the playoffs as the third seed from the district.

Both Giselle Webster and Elle Litchenburg were charged with helping Kilgore’s Lady Bulldogs back to the playoffs. And while Kilgore didn’t get that done – they finished 22-22 overall and a 4-10 district record – Litchenburg and Webster each had really good individual seasons. Webster helped KHS drop some opponents with 230 kills and 133 blocks, and Litchenburg added 136 kills and 344 digs of her own while being fantastic at setting her teammates up: 741 assists. She also had 31 blocks.

And Andee Bridges was a dominant force for coach Morgan High, helping the Ladynecks back into the 3A postseason as the fourth-place team in the district. Bridges had an eye-opening 517 kills and 370 digs, as well as 50 aces.

The Goudarzi & Young / ETB Volleyball All-Star second team: A pair of players from Pine Tree’s Lady Pirates – Bryleigh Mayhan and Blair Schroeder – are recognized here as members of the all-star second team, and also two members of the West Rusk Lady Raiders: Kamyah Lacy and Kimora Pryor.

Joining them on the second team are Sabine’s Keely McCann, Tatum’s Kendal Greenwood, Troup’s Shiloh Sluder, and Carthage’s Alli Bitter.

Mayhan finished with 336 kills, 30 blocks, 139 digs and 35 aces, and Schroeder had 166 kills, 51 aces, 329 digs and 41 assists.

Sabine’s McCann and the Lady Cardinals narrowly missed out on making the playoffs in a very difficult 16-3A that included Tatum, White Oak and West Rusk, among others. Sabine finished 15-18 on the season and 5-7 in district play. McCann had a simply-ridiculous 955 assists just this season to go with 158 kills, 361 digs, 61 aces and five blocks.

Greenwood was named libero of the year as a part of the 16-3A all-district team, just another reason Tatum has been so good. Greenwood had 479 digs this season and 48 aces.

West Rusk went 9-3 in district play, good enough for a second-place finish to Tatum, and went 29-14 overall.

Lacy was good for 306 kills, 132 blocks, 119 digs, 22 aces and 17 assists in 2025, and teammate Pryor had 133 kills, 392 digs, 993 assists, and 37 aces.

Sluder, a junior, helped Troup to a 27-17 record, and 8-4 in district play. She had 383 kills, 410 digs, 57 blocks, 54 aces, and 37 assists for the Lady Tigers.

Rounding out the second team is Carthage’s Laney Alexander. Alexander had 647 digs, 36 assists and 25 aces for the Lady ‘Dawgs.

The Goudarzi & Young / ETB Volleyball All-Star third team: On our third team – and most of them would have been at least second-team choices; this was difficult – consists of White Oak’s Londyn Baker, West Rusk’s Hannah Haffner, Beckville’s Carli Tuttle, Henderson’s Mary Ella Hampton, Gilmer’s Jayna Rucker and Livi Brown, Sabine’s Sarah Roberts, Overton’s Mason Fenter and Bryleigh Nelson, and Arp’s Kaitlynn Raymond.

Raymond finished with 180 kills, 418 digs, 39 assists and 18 blocks for an Arp team that didn’t get into the 3A playoffs – their overall record was 21-24, not bad at all, but in a very tough district, a 1-11 finish.

Sarah Roberts joined McCann on Sabine’s Lady Cardinals team and had a very good year: 491 kills, 371 digs, 30 aces, 16 blocks and 16 assists.

Haffner was one more reason that West Rusk finished above everyone but Tatum in that district. Haffner had 354 kills and 128 blocks.

Baker helped make life easier for High’s Ladynecks: she had 319 kills, 383 digs, and 66 aces.

Hampton and her teammates fell short of a spot in the 4A postseason, a fifth-place finish in 16-4A with a 5-8 district record (18-20 overall). Hampton had 639 assists on the season.

Tuttle helped make coach Casey Falgout’s return as Beckville coach a good one. She finished with 222 kills, 249 digs, 441 assists, and 47 blocks, and was voted the setter of the year in her district’s all-district team.

Overton finished 28-12 on the season, and second place in their district. Mason Fenter had 255 kills, 92 aces, 287 digs, and 19 blocks, earning her spot here on this team, and teammate Nelson, just a sophomore, finished with 765 digs.

Gilmer volleyball went 19-19 on the season, getting into the playoffs in 16-4A with a 9-5 district record. Rucker had 334 kills, 65 aces, 215 digs and 10 blocks, and Brown had 223 kills, 83 digs, 24 aces, and 25 blocks.
